All good things must come to an end (at least for now…)
In early 2014 (almost exactly 3 years ago), I finished and published my very first cake decorating book – Adorable Cakes For All Occasions.
This book had been a pipeline dream of mine for a very long time and it was almost a bit unbelievable that I had finished it. The amount of support I got from people all around the world, retailers and industry peers was so touching and utterly amazing. I wrote a blog post about it and you can read more about the whole experience here.
The book is a self-published book, which meant that I not only created the content and edited it, but I also paid for the design and production of it upfront. It was a risk and a huge undertaking – one which could not have happened without each and every one of you. In fact, the support from everyone was so overwhelming that we sold out of our original print run in less than a year and ended up doing a second and bigger print run.
Now, we are down to our last two boxes Adorable Cakes For All Occasion – this means we have less than 30 books left in stock (our retailers might have a handful left too, but I am unable to confirm).
At this stage, we have no plans to reprint anymore copies so whatever is left, is left and once they are gone, they are gone! Because the book is self-published, you won’t find it in traditional book stores or online places like Amazon or Book Depository. So, if you have been searching, I can save you some time and tell you to stop looking 🙂 It’s not there!
Did you know – When you purchase the physical book from my online store, you will automatically receive the PDF copy for free. Alternatively, if you wish to be more environmentally friendly, the books are also available for purchase as PDF only options.
Once the physical copies of Adorable Cakes For All Occasional are sold out, the PDF option will still be available and you can of course always get a copy of my second book Playful Party Cakes.
I want to thank each and every one of you who were there for the whole crazy journey and who supported this project of mine from the moment it was announced. It’s a bit bittersweet to choose not to reprint but I think it’s time to close that chapter and to focus on some new things – which I can’t wait for you to be a part of 🙂
