Terms and Conditions - Classes

By submitting the sign up form, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

  • Once booked, the classes are not refundable or exchangeable for another workshop.
  • Children under 18 are able to enrol for standard classes as long as they have a parent/guardian enrol and attend with them on the day.
  • We can not guarantee which decorator/s you will have teaching your particular workshop.
  • All our classes require a minimum number of students to proceed. If your class does not have enough students we reserve the right to cancel it up to 72 hours before the time of the class.
  • We reserve the right to change the venue location if necessary up to 72 hours before the class.
  • We will inform you of a cancellation or change of venue by email. If we cancel the class or move it to a location that is no longer convenient, you will be offered a full refund.

Terms and Conditions - Designer Cakes and Cupcakes

APPOINTMENT ONLY

We have an appointment only policy to ensure the cake ordering process is stress free and enjoyable. The best days for appointments are Sunday to Wednesday.

PAYMENT METHODS

Our preferred payment methods are electronic bank transfer or cash.

DEPOSIT, CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A 50% deposit is required upon ordering and will be applied towards the contracted cake and is deducted from the final invoice. If the deposit isn't received within 7 days after the invoice is sent, the booking will be canceled and the date will be released back to the general public. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will reserve the event date.

The balance of the invoice is due in full 1 week before delivery or pickup. If an order is not picked on the day of delivery or delivery is denied, the client is responsible for any additional costs. We will make every attempt to contact the client in the event of a missed pickup date or denied delivery.

If the event is less than a week away, the invoice will be due in full 3 days from the date it is sent out.

In the event of cancellation:

  1. All requests for cancellation must be made in writing.
  2. If a cancellation is received more than eight weeks prior to the agreed delivery date, the aforementioned deposit will be refunded less $100 administrative fee. If the total deposit amount is less than $100, there will be no refund.
  3. If a cancellation is received less than eight weeks prior to the agreed delivery date, the aforementioned deposit is forfeited.

DELIVERY

Delivery is quoted as an additional fee based on location. Certain cakes can not be picked up as they may require assembly on site.

TASTINGS

Currently, cake tastings are only available for wedding cake orders and are by request only. Not all flavours will be available during the tasting.

During the meeting, we will also discuss the design of your cake. Feel free to bring any sample pictures or invitations, colour scheme and anything that would help us to come up with something perfect for your event. If you should need to reschedule, or cancel, we ask that you contact us no later than 48 hours in advance.

PRICING

The total cost is highly dependent on the design and number of servings. If you have a budget in mind, please be upfront about it so we can design something that will suit.

ORDERING INFORMATION

Ideally 2 to 3 weeks is needed (I would recommend approx 2 months notice for wedding cakes), especially if we're designing something exclusive for you. Sketching and revising design concepts can take a week or two.

We're happy to try and accommodate last minute orders, but please book your date early to avoid disappointment.

FLAVOURS

Our cakes are made to order, so if you have a flavour in mind, let us know and we'll do everything we can. Our basic cake flavours are listed in the flavours menu.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Discovery of new information, changes to agreed circumstances or other factors, might result in a withdrawal. Non co-operation, changes to location, facilities or available times, missed appointments, non-confirmation of quote acceptance and late payments are examples of contributing factors.

Should Sharon Wee Creations initiate the withdrawal, all fees will be returned, excluding the fair market value for any services / products already provided.

ALLERGIES

Sharon Wee Creations will not be held responsible for any nut allergies. All cakes COULD contain traces of nut. It is the responsibility of clients to inform their guests that traces of nuts COULD be present in the cake.

NON-GUARANTEE

Although every possible care will be taken with the delivery and set up of the cakes, once delivered the cake becomes the responsibility of clients and we cannot be held responsible for any destruction of the cake or products once they are in the care of clients.

PHOTO USAGE

We reserve the right to use any photos we take of your creation for any media related activities such as our website, blog, facebook or advertising.

CREATIVE VARIATION

We reserve the right to any minor alterations on the design if we deem necessary. Please note that our creations are all hand made and custom made and no two designs, even if produced by the same artist, are exactly alike.

CHANGES TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITONS

If we decide to change our term and conditions, we will post those changes on this page, and it is client's responsibility to read all of our terms and conditions before ordering.

Terms and Conditions - Online Store

  • If you don't provide a colour sample for colour matching we will determine the colour based on our understanding on what you have requested on your order form.
  • Through our online order store and we aim to keep the costs down for you. Therefore if you require any further changes to the design or require a consultation and/or cake testing, additional administration fees (from $70) will be charged.
  • This order is non-refundable in any circumstances. At our discretion we may allow you to change the delivery date or provide you with a store credit.
  • We will aim to call you before deliveries but may not always be able to. If we are unable to deliver on the day and within the requested timings (due to no one being there or the wrong address given), you may be responsible for a redelivery fee.
  • If the delivery location or time changes, we will require the changes in an email at least 48 hours before.
  • If you choose to pick up the cake, once it is in your hands, you are fully responsible for it.
  • Please note that because our cakes are all hand made, there may be very slight variances between them. All our cakes are unique, even ones made by the same artist.
